Nectar at the University of Auckland - 5 years on
The ARDC Nectar Research Cloud is Australia’s national OpenStack based research cloud, providing cloud computing services and tools to Australian researchers. Nectar launched in 2012 as the first national research cloud designed for Australian researchers, and is used by scientists and researchers throughout Australia, from their offices and homes.
The University of Auckland joined Nectar in 2016 to provide services to the University of Auckland research community. This talk will explore our experiences over the last 5 years with operating Nectar at the University as a member of the Nectar community, the lessons we have learnt, challenges we have encountered and the benefits we see for researchers at the University of Auckland.
